CBSE officials when approached to attest to the claims, however, refused to comment on the same. CBSE maintains that the stand of the board as regards the evaluation is an internal matter and cannot be disclosed. Here is what the experts and teachers have to say, however, regarding the standard policy followed by the board in such regards.

CBSE had conducted the Class 12th English board examination on March 2, 2019. However, shortly after the paper, the expert groups were buzzing regarding a wrong question.Many students were left confused.
Talking about the question, teachers agreed that the error was there and it may have likely confused the students.

The question was clearly erroneous and many teachers have reportedly sent their feedback to the Central Board of Secondary Education in the prescribed format as required. Following the feedback, the board has, as per reports, decided to rectify the error. According to the WhatsApp messages doing rounds in various groups of schools in Delhi NCR, CBSE has decided to grant 6 marks to all those students who have attempted the question.
